A lot of it depends on your hair texture and your desired result. If you have a finer texture and want to lighten hair that does not already have hair color on it- liquid colors work very well. (The kind you pour from little bottles.) If you have a more course texture and want to diminish warmth in the hair stick to cream bases colors. If you are adding color only, not lifting at all then you will have the best result with a semi-permanent coloring product. For the consumer, L'Oreal has the most reliable options. I've used Nice n' Easy with good results. I'm a natural blonde and I use a very blonde tint. For years I've used Preference by L'Oreal and had excellent results with it.
I tried Nice n' Easy %26amp; it didn't give me good results. Yesterday I tried Revlon's %26amp; it worked great!

Ok it all depends on whether you want to continue to go blonde or to go bak to dark??
if you want to go blonde get a prelightener kit and apply that so it goes to its lightest it can then get an ashy blonde hair dye and put it on top and it will turn out the desired colour as all of the red tones will have been stripped from your hair also use blue shampoo to counter act the red tones.
however if u want to go bak dark then just buy dark hair dye.
best bet would be to go to the hairdressers
Well my mom is a cosmotoligist, and once my hair turned orange after i dyed it blonde, it would turn that color because the color you put in it already faded out or because you didnt leave it in long enough, or you put something in your hair causing it not to catch. my suggestions is to bleach it and then color it blonde, if you still want it blonde, if not color it a darker color but it still would be best to bleach it and then color it so the color can grab.
I think you have to leave the colour in longer because your hair was dark.

It is blue and comes in a package or a tub, depending on how much hair you have. okay, then you put that on your hair, it will strip all the color of your hair, basically platinum blond, then you put the blond color on it. thats just to redo it though, if you are trying to tone down the orange, go to a hair place, like one that sells dye, and such and ask them for a toner, or just walk in and they will just eyeball your hair and tell you what you need.

Earlier ive tried Lakme EnricheLipColor,but it turned my lips darker and had a mild rash,for which, i have to stop using the Lakme brand. Ever since then, im a bit much concerned and stopped buying any lipsticks until i get my lips back in to my original color.
So,no ive been trying to get a lipstick and wondering whether Revlon Colorstay soft and smooth lip color would suit my lips(like not causing any allergies etc).

I just bought it for the first time a few weeks ago. It's the first long-wearing one I've tried. I haven't had any problems. The colour I bought is a mauve colour, not that dark, so I can't really say for sure if a darker colour would stain your lips.
I really like it. It smells good, and the topcoat has a mildly sweet flavour and a nice smell. I bought a lip liner to match, which comes in handy to correct it when I mess up a little on the outer edge of my lips with the lipstick.
The main negative is that as it wears off during the day and I reapply the topcoat, it sometimes feels a little gritty. I think it is from bits of the base coat coming off, but it is not a big deal to me.

For sensitive lips I'd suggest Estee Lauder lipsticks.

Revlon pinch me blush HELP what COLOR ON MEDIUM TAN SKIN??
Today, I was excited to buy Revlon's Limited Edition Pinch me Gel blush. It comes in a little pump bottle- really cute %26amp; it's supposed to look natural on you. But anyway, I got in Plum Flushed. Isn't plum supposed to be great on tan skin?? I thought it was my best option %26amp; figuered that because I have medium tan skin (golden) the color would look good on me... but I couldnt even tell I had it on! I applied 2 layers... then it just looks clownish =( dissapointed. I was going to buy the playful pink shade, but when I saw it at Target I was scarred that the shade would look too bright. I need advice on which of the following tones should I buy? HELP? What a waste of $10... ugh %26gt;_%26lt;

I think the cheeky cherry would look really nice on tan skin. It's looks like it would. If those colors make you look like a clown i'd just get the peach afterglow...it would look so beautiful on very tan skin cause it helps to lighten up your checks with just enough on. Which in turn makes you ';glow';. I think that the peach afterglow would look gorgeous...I had a friend once who had blush like that and she looked really good with it on (she was very tan too). I agree...tan skin (medium base) usually a ';rose colored'; blush is going to show nicely on the skin. Check out some different lines that will send out ';free samples'; or give you ...your money back, or a guarantee to exchange if the color is wrong.
I know what you mean though...I have that problem with lipsticks...they just blend to wear it doesnt even look like I have it on...not a bad thing...natural look is ';in'; but still.....you bought it so that it would show some at least!!

It's hard to say because there are no pics of you but I would probably say buff in comparison with the pics you showed. hm in revlon colorstay i use the color 'buff' and i have light skin and would probably use the light thing you use in the custom creations but its different for everyone
tip- when your at the store unscrew some of the foundations you think would work for you (put the bottle up to your face to make sure) and then if it seems right, take a little bit on you finger and put it on a small part of your face, do it in different places for the different colors, make sure you know which ones are where and look in a mirror close by or bring a little one of your own, then decide which one you want
p.s. you are supposed to try a color just a littleeee bit lighter

I need to get some lip stain for our valentines day dance. I'm wearing a white scoop neck, a cranberry party skirt I dyed, gold flats, soft curly hair, and a large gold heart pendant. I sort of want the stain to match my skirt (You know, juxtaposing the gold and cranberry?) But I'm VERY fair skinned. What's a good color? What's your take on this product? I cant seem to find High Dimension hair color/by Revlon at my local Walmart anymore. I love #63 light golden brown...but cant find it? Any suggestions...or wht might be comparable? DeniseRevlon high dimension hair color?

i havent tried it but truthfuly i think it's a waste. think of how much foundation you're wasteing if you're useing more of one side than the other! it would be more effieicent to spend the time to just find your colour

hey! yeh i bought it recently and....LUV IT!! i hate foundations that look too thick and too cakey yet i wanted something to cover the lil bit of imperfections i have and this is it! it gives a satin/natural finish (not overdone at all) covers imperfections, is smooth and blends amazingly, and the whole color changing thing is really a great idea. you really dont need much to cover your face and ther is absolutely no mask like look like other revlon foundations tend to give. all in all a great product
I usually wear MAC foundation so i was a bit weary trying the revlon stuff, but it actually worked pretty well. My only complaint is that there isnt tons of coverage. I would buy it again to use in the summer.Anyone tried the new revlon foundation.. the one that you can change the color?
i havent tried it but truthfuly i think it's a waste. think of how much foundation you're wasteing if you're useing more of one side than the other! it would be more effieicent to spend the time to just find your colour

I have dark brown hair with some grey. I have red and ash lowlights which have grown out half way.
I don't have a problem with experimenting but right now I have a few weddings to attend :) so don't want to go for a color which won't go with my clothes or will limit the make up colors I can use.

If your hair is jet black naturally, it is going to be near impossible to get your hair that color without coloring it too many times and making it damaged. Your best chance will be to go to a salon and have them tell you if they think it is possible, let them do the color on it and if it works....then from then on you can use a box. I would leave the first try though up to a professional.

The conditioner is just a one-time use packet, so I would get Pantene Restoratives deep conditioner to use after coloring, and once a week from then on. But yeah, it's great color to be so cheap... I've gotten it $5 for two boxes before!

Using HENNA after using Revlon's COLOR OOPS?
I want to go back to my natural hair color, but want to do it as chemically free as possible. Color oops is ammonia and bleach free. If I used it to pull the dark color out of my hair, it will bring it to a pale orange (always will, I have done too much to my hair) so, what I am wondering is if it would be okay to put an ash blonde henna on top of this or a dark blonde henna instead of natural instincts or Loreal Castings, because these haven't worked in the past and henna is my last resort, the stylist couldn't even get the orange out of my hair, which is why I am back to dark brown. If it has the name ruby in it, it's a blue based red. Hold up to the red next to a hot pink and an orange and see what it is closest to. Orange = warm.

Ok So I am BLACK Indian and peurto rican, I find that on my face is very un even toned before makeup sometimes, I use Revlon colorstay liquid foundation in caramel and i top that with revlon colorstay pressed powder in medium deep but it almost looks too light not sure but does anyone know which pressed powder is supposed to go with Revlon liquid caramel foundation? Also if anyone has a sugestion for eye eye shadow and blush for african american skin that would be great as well.

MAC has a great one called prep and prime translucent. i always thought bright colors look great on darker skin, because it just pops. i would try a peachy color for blush and any bright colors on ur eyes. hope this helps :)

yes, because if you turn it after you pumped it, then some of the light color is still stuck in the pumping tube thing and it takes a few pumps to get it out and get the darker one in. also, dont turn it that drastically. maybe 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, no just 1-5 all of a sudden.

Ok it all depends on whether you want to continue to go blonde or to go bak to dark??
if you want to go blonde get a prelightener kit and apply that so it goes to its lightest it can then get an ashy blonde hair dye and put it on top and it will turn out the desired colour as all of the red tones will have been stripped from your hair also use blue shampoo to counter act the red tones.
however if u want to go bak dark then just buy dark hair dye.

Really what you should have done was, gone to the store, and bought a stripper, now you have to go to the hair salon to buy this. It is blue and comes in a package or a tub, depending on how much hair you have. okay, then you put that on your hair, it will strip all the color of your hair, basically platinum blond, then you put the blond color on it. thats just to redo it though, if you are trying to tone down the orange, go to a hair place, like one that sells dye, and such and ask them for a toner, or just walk in and they will just eyeball your hair and tell you what you need.

Earlier ive tried Lakme EnricheLipColor,but it turned my lips darker and had a mild rash,for which, i have to stop using the Lakme brand. Ever since then, im a bit much concerned and stopped buying any lipsticks until i get my lips back in to my original color.
So,no ive been trying to get a lipstick and wondering whether Revlon Colorstay soft and smooth lip color would suit my lips(like not causing any allergies etc).

I just bought it for the first time a few weeks ago. It's the first long-wearing one I've tried. I haven't had any problems. The colour I bought is a mauve colour, not that dark, so I can't really say for sure if a darker colour would stain your lips.
I really like it. It smells good, and the topcoat has a mildly sweet flavour and a nice smell. I bought a lip liner to match, which comes in handy to correct it when I mess up a little on the outer edge of my lips with the lipstick.
The main negative is that as it wears off during the day and I reapply the topcoat, it sometimes feels a little gritty. I think it is from bits of the base coat coming off, but it is not a big deal to me.

For sensitive lips I'd suggest Estee Lauder lipsticks.

Revlon pinch me blush HELP what COLOR ON MEDIUM TAN SKIN??
Today, I was excited to buy Revlon's Limited Edition Pinch me Gel blush. It comes in a little pump bottle- really cute %26amp; it's supposed to look natural on you. But anyway, I got in Plum Flushed. Isn't plum supposed to be great on tan skin?? I thought it was my best option %26amp; figuered that because I have medium tan skin (golden) the color would look good on me... but I couldnt even tell I had it on! I applied 2 layers... then it just looks clownish =( dissapointed. I was going to buy the playful pink shade, but when I saw it at Target I was scarred that the shade would look too bright. I need advice on which of the following tones should I buy? HELP? What a waste of $10... ugh %26gt;_%26lt;

I think the cheeky cherry would look really nice on tan skin. It's looks like it would. If those colors make you look like a clown i'd just get the peach afterglow...it would look so beautiful on very tan skin cause it helps to lighten up your checks with just enough on. I agree...tan skin (medium base) usually a ';rose colored'; blush is going to show nicely on the skin. Check out some different lines that will send out ';free samples'; or give you ...your money back, or a guarantee to exchange if the color is wrong.

yes, because if you turn it after you pumped it, then some of the light color is still stuck in the pumping tube thing and it takes a few pumps to get it out and get the darker one in. also, dont turn it that drastically. maybe 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, no just 1-5 all of a sudden.

Ok it all depends on whether you want to continue to go blonde or to go bak to dark??
if you want to go blonde get a prelightener kit and apply that so it goes to its lightest it can then get an ashy blonde hair dye and put it on top and it will turn out the desired colour as all of the red tones will have been stripped from your hair also use blue shampoo to counter act the red tones.
however if u want to go bak dark then just buy dark hair dye.
best bet would be to go to the hairdressers
Well my mom is a cosmotoligist, and once my hair turned orange after i dyed it blonde, it would turn that color because the color you put in it already faded out or because you didnt leave it in long enough, or you put something in your hair causing it not to catch. my suggestions is to bleach it and then color it blonde, if you still want it blonde, if not color it a darker color but it still would be best to bleach it and then color it so the color can grab.

So I would go the hair dresser and her fix it. i am not pleased with what happened to my hair but it looks ok. Kind of like my natural hair not an ashy blonde with pretty highlights. Your other option is to dye it brown again. You would probably like a hint of red color in your brown hair. However I heard that once you dye your hair red it is hard to get the red out. So you might want to think brown for a while.

Try and find a brand that is actually a mineral makeup brand rather than big name brands like revlon and lorel who just attach the 'mineral makeup' tag to rake in more money
I just bought that stuff too. You're putting it on right. In my experience all mineral makeup doesn't really cover much, except the Maybelline Liquid mineral version. If you moisturize before hand it makes the coverage a tad better, but still doesn't cover anything. I just use it over my regular liquid foundation now. Im not sure where your from but if you can find physicians formula they have awesome mineral makeup..I use the bronzer and I recon unlike most others its actually brown rather than orange and heaps better for your skin. What's a good alternative to Revlon's Luxurious Color in Sueded Brown eyeliner?
I'm basically looking for an eye pencil that applies smoothly, LASTS ALL DAY OR FOR A VERY LONG TIME (really important), and is a pencil (preferably , but cream/gel is fine maybe) but applies with same intensity almost as a liquid or gel. The color is a dark brown with a slight gold/copper glitter/shine/pearl to it, but it does not look noticeably glittery it just makes it look dimensional and nice.

I've been using MAC Studio Fix for ages now. Atm I've got NC30 but it's too dark for me now because I'm not as tanned as i was in summer. I was told i should try the NW25 but the lady at MAC said that the Studio Fix colors are hard to match the right skin tone. I've read a few reviews and people have said the Revlon Color Stay is good (I've seen one for combination skin which is what I've got) but it's really hard to remove afterwards. Has anyone tried both of these products? if so which would you recommend? I'm going Monday to get some foundation so I need some advice. Thanks in advance :)Revlon Color Stay or MAC Studio Fix?

Revlon Colorstay eyeliner is the best liner I've tried. I can't tell you how many times I've recommended it to people on here. It's waterproof, you don't have to sharpen it, and it lasts forever. With eyes as gorgeous as yours (I love that icy blue color!) I would suggest getting it in navy blue or in black/brown -- it doesn't just come in the two colors you mentioned. But the navy one will really make your eyes stand out. :)

I use the liquid form, (for oily/combination skin) because my T-zone tends to be a tad bit oily. I can honestly say, I never break out from it! Ever! I really like using this foundation. The only time I have breakouts is during my cycle, (which is normal) but other than that, my foundation doesn't.

wear less of it. you prob put too much on, so it wears away too quickly. less is more. try a different coverup. i like maybelline dream matte mousse. its light but it stays on all day and makes your face look fresh all day long!
I use maxfactor which is excellent as all day wear but i do find if it hots it does slightly smudge, sounds like your foundation is not right for your skin type.
Bare minerals works really good, please try it. It doesn't smudge, or even feel like your wearing make-up.
Contact them direct and explain whats been happening, you may get a refund or some vouchers.

Add a little moisturiser...
Then, add your foundation with a proper face sponge..
Then lightly apply blusher,and do your eyes and lips... here's some ideas...
*Apply a Nude lipstick/lipgloss..
*Make your eyes look smoky by smudging just a little of your darkest eyeshadow underneath ur lower eyelashes...

You mix the dye and developer together and shake well. Part your hair into small section (starting at the roots) and apply the mixture. Massage gently but dont rub in. Leave it in for about 25 - 30 mins. Rinse out with warm water until water runs clear, then wash gently with the conditioner.

if you have really dark hair... you should start of coloring it a stage lighter each time .. within 2 weeks periods... if your hair is black you should probably try and get it brown before blonde.. cause jumping from a really dark color to a really blonde color causes, scalp burning, hair loss, balding and so on...

Try Loreal Bare Naturale. It is a natural powder that is loose. It comes with the big Kabuki brush just like the expensive ';Bare Minerals'; sold on QVC. The trick to any liquid foundation is making sure you put a light coat of powder over it so it lasts longer and stays in place better. The only flaw is that it is hard to wash off and if you wash your face in the bath it stains your bathtub and you end up spending a lot of time cleaning it out! I guess the same can be said about your bathroom sink! I've been wearing Estee Lauder double wear! It has the same coverage but isn't as heavy looking and is a lot easier to wash off! The only down fall of the Estee Lauder is that it is expensive!! Both are great covering and long lasting foundations so base your purchase on what you are willing to spend!
I used it to patch a hole in my floor...it blended right in...those earth tones can hardly be noticed on tile.

if you have really dark hair... you should start of coloring it a stage lighter each time .. within 2 weeks periods... if your hair is black you should probably try and get it brown before blonde.. cause jumping from a really dark color to a really blonde color causes, scalp burning, hair loss, balding and so on...

Try Loreal Bare Naturale. It is a natural powder that is loose. It comes with the big Kabuki brush just like the expensive ';Bare Minerals'; sold on QVC. I started using it a month ago, and once you brush it all over your face, it gives you such a nice, flawless coverage, and it's not heavy and greasy like liquid foundation that often dries caky, especially if you have dry skin.Does anyone use Revlon Color Stay Foundation, if so what do you think of it?

The only flaw is that it is hard to wash off and if you wash your face in the bath it stains your bathtub and you end up spending a lot of time cleaning it out! I guess the same can be said about your bathroom sink! I've been wearing Estee Lauder double wear! It has the same coverage but isn't as heavy looking and is a lot easier to wash off! The only down fall of the Estee Lauder is that it is expensive!! Both are great covering and long lasting foundations so base your purchase on what you are willing to spend!
I used it to patch a hole in my floor...it blended right in...those earth tones can hardly be noticed on tile.
